Hi.

Welcome! I am a California girl who has lived in Scotland and Mozambique - follow my adventures here!

London and Cornwall in Photos

Earlier this year, I went to visit my cousins and some friends in England. It was really nice to be back in the country, which I haven’t visited since university, when I was right nearby in Scotland. I started off in London, visiting my cousins. This will be a mostly photo recap of the trip, as it was half a year ago already - things have been super busy for me lately, and I am behind on my updates here…

I stayed with my cousins near Wimbledon, and we walked in the commons most days with their dog. The fog was moody and English- seeming, and it was chilly; perfect strolling weather. Then, my other cousin and I went to St. Paul’s Cathedral; so beautiful! It is so peaceful to be in these old, dramatic churches. It reminds me of walking the Camino de Santiago and stopping in all the churches along the way with my grandpa.

After spending time in London, I went down to Cornwall to visit some friends. The drive took us past Stonehenge - the first time I had seen it! My family had all been to Cornwall before and told me repeatedly how much I would love it, so I was really excited to finally visit and see it for myself. It’s beautiful. I stayed with my friend, right on the water, and we took long walks along the coast, rambling by the sand, watching the clear water. So nice.

I finished my trip with my friend’s book launch, the first book launch I had been to and a really fun, exciting event! Then, it was back to Mozambique.
