It's exam time, so to take a break from studying I decided to go running on Arthur's Seat. I haven't been up in ages, mainly, I'll admit, because of the weather. The weather still wasn't great today - SO windy, and grey - but at least it wasn't raining. It has rained for the past week pretty much, so this was a nice break. It has also been incredibly windy for the past three days - the wind is literally howling through trees, over roofs...it's the windiest wind I've experienced in my life, but it does serve one good purpose when running: the wind promotes resistance training!
I was planning originally to do my regular four mile loop around Arthur's Seat, mid-way up, but at the last minute I decided I wanted to run to the top instead. Hill Training Day.
The combination of wet grass and strong wind made it twice as hard to get up the hill than usual, and I'll admit I had to walk the last quarter to the top, but I made it! And the views made it so worth it.
