Hi.

New Discoveries

I had an appointment today at the US consulate in Edinburgh to renew my passport. I looked up how long it should take me to get there, and the walking distance was over an hour. I took the bus there. The bus was full of coughing people, so I decided it would be much nicer to walk back to my flat after the appointment. The weather has been exceptionally good in Edinburgh this week (I wore a t-shirt and sunglasses!), so I walked. The walk led me to a part of Edinburgh I'd never been to before, and, as I was walking across the street, I saw a park. I had nothing else pressing that I had to get back for, so I decided to explore. It turns out that I'd found Regent Road Park, a nice little park with benches facing Arthur's Seat where one can sit and contemplate anything in the world. I sat and ate lunch, marveling at the park I'd found. I would never have found it if not for the long walk home.

I found this interesting, steep path

Of course, since it was so nice and warm, I had to go walk up Arthur's Seat too, so here are some photos from up there :)
